Training Aim

This course aims to raise awareness of current regulations and standards required in relation to the management and control of substances hazardous to health.

Training Outcomes

• Understanding of COSHH Regulations and supporting Regulations
• Ability to identify different COSHH symbols on packaging
• Identify Hazard classifications and the measures taken to provide adequate controls
• Knowledge of how to conduct a COSHH assessment
• Improved knowledge of what is meant by Substances Hazardous to Health
• The nature and effects on the body
• Ability to recognise routes of entry into the body

Learning Content

This training session is intended to create an understanding of current regulatory requirements in relation to the management and control of substances hazardous to health to ensure the safety of all patients and staff.
