Training Aim

This course aims to improve knowledge and raise awareness of the risks related to manual handling and how the implementation of appropriate control measures can reduce the risk of injury.

Training Outcomes

  • Improved understanding and knowledge of Manual Handling risks and hazards
  • Increased awareness of both employers and employees’ legal responsibilities
  • Understanding of how to evaluate risks and implement appropriate control measures to prevent or reduce the risk of injury and damage
  • Ability to identify ergonomic issues within the dental practice setting
  • Ability to and understands the importance of how to correctly position yourself/staff and VDU equipment via risk assessment

Learning Content

This training session intends to further develop knowledge of effective manual handling techniques and control measures within the dental practice and surgery setting to reduce the risk of injury.
