Training Aim
This course aims to improve knowledge and awareness of the role of the infection Prevention/Decontamination lead and their responsibilities.
Training Outcomes
- Awareness and improved knowledge of the roles & responsibilities of the Infection Control/Decontamination Lead
- Understanding of the decontamination process
- Knowledge and understanding of HTM 01-05 EQRs and Best Practice
- Knowledge and understanding of The Health & Social Care Act Approved Code of Practice for the prevention of infections
- Awareness of the audits to be completed with regards to Infection Prevention and Decontamination
- Understands the importance of local infection control and decontamination policies and of staff awareness
